Bostadsbyggandet minskade med 14 % under 2011

Under 2011 påbörjades byggandet av 22 700 lägenheter. Det innebär en minskning med 14 procent jämfört med 2010 då 26 417 lägenheter började byggas.

Antalet påbörjade lägenheter i flerbostadshus minskade med 10 procent till 16 000 lägenheter, medan påbörjandet i småhus minskade med 23 procent till 6 700. Andelen hyresrätter i flerbostadshus var 43 procent, vilket kan jämföras med 48 procent året innan.

Fördelningen mellan småhus och flerbostadshus under perioden är:
2011: 6 700 lägenheter i småhus och 16 000 i flerbostadshus
2010: 8 722 lägenheter i småhus och 17 695 i flerbostadshus

För att underlätta jämförelsen mellan åren är siffrorna för 2011 uppräknade med 8 procent, vilket är den genomsnittliga eftersläpningen i rapporteringen de senaste åren.

Fortsatt trögt för byggandet av nya studentbostäder
Under förra året påbörjades 1 473 specialbostäder vilket är en minskning med knappt 9 procent jämfört med 2010. Av dessa avser 151 bostäder för studerande vid universitet eller högskola. Det är den lägsta nivån på 16 år. Det sammanlagda byggandet av bostäder för äldre eller funktionshindrade och övriga specialbostäder ökade däremot med 4 procent till 1 322 bostäder.
