Inköpschefsindex ökade till 56 i september 2013

Inköpschefsindex (PMI-totalt) steg med 3,8 indexenheter till 56,0 i september och samtliga ingående delindex bidrog till uppgången. Orderingången steg från både export- och hemmamarknaden, med 5,2 respektive 6,4 indexenheter och delindex för sysselsättning steg över 50-strecket.

Delindex för orderingången och produktion svarade för de största positiva bidragen och tillsammans höjde de PMI total med 2,5 indexenheter. Den förbättrade orderingången gav även ett positivt avtryck i delindex för orderstockar som steg med 5,1 indexenhet till 55,9.

Delindex för leveranstider steg något och noterades i tillväxtzonen för andra månaden i rad. Index för lager sjönk med 1 indexenhet och bidrog därmed positivt till PMI total.

Företagens produktionsplaner steg till 60,8 från 58,5 i augusti. Att delindex för både produktion och produktionsplaner noterats över 50-strecket sedan januari kan vara en faktor bakom de mer positiva signalerna kring sysselsättningsplanerna. Att index för produktionen noterats klart över 50-nivån de senaste tre kvartalen antyder samtidigt att produktiviteten i industrin fortsätter att förbättras.

Prisökningstrycket i producentledet är fortsatt lågt och index sjönk med 1 indexenhet till 47,6. Pristrycket är fortfarande dämpat och nedgången under september sammanfaller med en något starkare krona.
