Inköpschefsindex steg till 52,1 i mars 2013

Inköpschefsindex (PMI-totalt) ökade med 1,2 indexenheter till 52,1 i mars från 50,9 i februari. Det är den andra månaden i rad som tillverkningsindustrin befinner sig i tillväxtzonen och indexnivån är den högsta sedan juni 2011. Det skriver Ekonomiska sekretariatet vid Swedbank.

Orderingången stod för det största positiva bidraget till PMI-totalt, och efterfrågeökningarna kom såväl från hemma- som från exportmarknaderna. Tillverkningsföretagens orderstockar steg också för första gången sedan april ifjol.

Index för produktionsplanerna steg till 60,5 i mars och indikerar en växande produktion de kommande sex månaderna. Det sammanföll med stigande leveranstider för tillverkningsföretagen. Delindexet för sysselsättningen föll dock tillbaka och gav ett negativt bidrag till PMI-totalt. Företagen är fortsatt försiktiga med nyanställningar.

Index för leverantörernas rå- och insatsvarupriser sjönk och indexet hamnade på 46,2 i mars. Prisnedgången i producentpriserna hänger sannolikt samman med den starka svenska kronan och ett alltjämt relativt svagt efterfrågetryck i leverantörsledet.
