Bankernas kreditförluster i Baltikum uppgick till cirka 13 MDSEK under det första halvåret år 2009

Sedan FI:s föregående rapport i juni 2009 har bankernas bolåneräntor sjunkit i linje med marknadsräntorna och Riksbankens styrränta. Samtidigt har bankerna kunnat finansiera sig till en lägre kostnad. På grund av det låga ränteläget försämrades dock inlåningsmarginalerna något (bankerna kan inte sänka räntorna på kundernas konton under noll).

Bankernas finansieringssituation har förbättrats. Under juni ökade både inlåningen från allmänheten och andelen längre marknadsfinansiering. Bankernas utlåning till svenska allmänheten ökar, men i lägre takt än före finanskrisen. I juni steg utlåningen till hushåll samtidigt som minskningen i utlåningen till företag stannade av.

Tillväxttakten i utlåningen till företag på årsbasis var 4,5 procent i juni, och till hushåll 7,7 procent. Under första halvåret 2009 redovisade storbankerna kreditförluster i Baltikum som uppgick till 12,8 miljarder kronor eller 5,9 procent av utlåningen i dessa länder. Av bankernas totala kreditförluster kom drygt 40 procent från de baltiska länderna.

I juni publicerade Finansinspektionen resultaten av tre så kallade stresstester. Stresstesterna bedömer de fyra storbankernas förmåga att möta olika ekonomiska scenarier. I basscenariot klarade samtliga banker de lagstadgade minimikraven på kapital med god marginal, och ingen bank kom under 9 procents primärkapitalrelation.
