Finansinspektionen flaggar för flera potentiella risker som noggrant måste bevakas. Ett riskområde som lyfts fram i den nya rapporten, Risker i det finansiella systemet är bolånemarknaden - där FI har påbörjat en granskning.

FI bedömer att kreditförluster inom bolån inte är något hot mot stabiliteten i bankerna. Däremot kan högt belånade hushåll drabbas negativt när räntan klättrar uppåt om bankerna inte gör ordentliga kreditprövningar.

Snabblån, så kallade sms-lån, utgör ett annat hot på konsumentområdet. Företag som erbjuder snabblån står inte under FI:s kontroll och hamnar därmed utanför tillsynsramarna. FI anser att lagstiftningen på området måste ses över.

De svenska bankerna klarar fortsatt stora kreditförluster i Baltikum. De har en bättre kapitalsituation nu än i våras. Det visar nya stresstester som FI genomfört under hösten.

För att få en överblick av globala finansiella risker har FI skapat en panel av internationellt erkända experter. De lyfter fram den kommersiella fastighetssektorn som en risk och pekar på att den kan komma att orsaka stora kreditförluster framöver, både i Europa och i USA.

Deras bedömning är också att det finns fortsatt betydande risker i Östeuropa. Presskonferens kl 10. Rapporten presenteras av generaldirektören Martin Andersson, FI:s chefsekonom Lars Frisell och Masih Yazdi, analytiker.
