Ökat antal flygpassagerare i maj 2008

Antalet inrikespassagerare vid LFVs flygplatser ökade med åtta procent under maj jämfört med samma period förra året. Totalt var det 2 879 100 passagerare som flög från LFVs flygplatser under maj i år. Det är en ökning med sju procent jämfört med samma månad förra året. Inrikes ökade under maj med åtta procent till 1 249 600 passagerare och utrikes med sju procent till 1 629 500.


- Den oväntat stora trafikökningen från årets inledning har fortsatt även i maj. Vi noterar speciellt de positiva siffrorna för inrikestrafiken, men dessa ska ställas i relation till den strejk som drabbade SAS i maj förra året. När vi försöker justera för trafikbortfallet på grund av strejken hamnar vi på en treprocentig ökning totalt, säger Mats Sigurdson, chef för LFV Flygmarknad.

- Den fortsatt positiva utvecklingen för utrikestrafiken beror troligtvis på det ökade utbudet av direktlinjer till/från Sverige.

För perioden januari-maj 2008 ökade antalet passagerare på LFVs flygplatser med sex procent, jämfört med samma period förra året. Utrikespassagerarna ökade med åtta procent och inrikes med tre procent.

Stockholm-Arlanda Airport ökade med 9 procent och Göteborg Landvetter Airport med 2 procent.

De största passagerarökningarna noterades på Åre Östersund Airport och Örnsköldsvik Airport som båda ökade med 31 procent. Kiruna Airport ökade med 19 procent. Skellefteå Airport ökade med 18 procent och Luleå Airport med 17 procent.

Antalet landningar i linjefart och charter ökade med åtta procent i maj till 20 100, jämfört med motsvarande månad förra året. Utrikes ökade med sju procent och inrikes med nio procent. Ackumulerat för perioden januari-maj 2008 uppgick antalet landningar till 92 700 vilket är en ökning med fyra procent.
